Here’s a look at my first painting based on images of Sabina Kelley from our photo shoot in April. The painting needs to be scanned before prints and tubes are available. I’ll post updates here and in the “What’s New” section of my website to let you know when they become available.
I’m excited to begin posting views of my pinup art works in-progress. I hope to put together more work-in-progress slideshows and tutorials in the near future - I never seem to find the time since painting takes priority! Well, instead, I’ve decided to post “a view of Susan’s easel” which will be a frequently updated view of what I’m working on. Hope you enjoy!
In celebration of Armed Forces Day (May 19, 2007), I thought I’d post some news about one of my favorite pinup models, Heidi Van Horne. She is not only a beautiful and talented model and actress, but Heidi stands firm in her beliefs and strives to be a role model for young women. You can learn more about Heidi in her just released interview on orato.com. Heidi was the inspiration for my painting “Salute the Troops” (based on an image by photographer Shannon Brooke). This painting is one of my personal favorites and I haven’t been able to part with it yet. I display it in my front parlor - bringing a smile to the face of everyone who sees it. For more military inspired pinups, check out my painting titled “Semper Fi“.
I finally got around to adding some sketches to the Loft section of my website this past weekend. I’ve been posting some sketches here and on myspace, but to keep everything organized I added them to my loft. There are some images from a painting I’m currently working on titled “Casting Call”. Hope you like!
I realize things have been quiet here, so here are some images from the first pinup painting I’m working on based on photos of Sabina Kelley taken during our April shoot. Hope to have more progress for you soon! Thanks for your patience
I am happy to announce that I have signed a licensing agreement with Sticker Chick to handle the distribution of my digital images to signature groups through mypsptubes.com
I have been looking for ways to make my pinups available to more people, especially in the digital world. I hope that anyone who creates images with my work will share them with me so that I can post them on my website and myspace. I’m so excited to to see your creative works!
